Premium Ripe Pu-erh Tea from Fengqing (spring 2024 material)

This Premium Ripe Pu-erh tea represents one of the highest grades in the classification of ripe Pu-erh teas. Made exclusively from Mengku Da Ye Zhong tea leaves, it is carefully crafted to achieve exceptional quality. Harvested in Fengqing County, Yunnan Province, at elevations of 1800–2300 meters, this tea benefits from the region’s optimal growing conditions and rich biodiversity.

Picked annually between March 25 and May 16, the tea includes a high proportion of tender buds, with 70% consisting of one bud and one leaf. The fermentation process involves piling, moistening, and carefully controlling temperature and oxygen levels. The result is a tea with rich flavor and a smooth texture, developed over 40–60 days of meticulous fermentation.

When brewed, this Pu-erh produces a deep red infusion with a soft, velvety texture and a naturally sweet, mellow taste. Notes of dried fruits like longan and red dates emerge, accompanied by a hint of woody complexity. The tea’s thick body and enduring aftertaste create a deeply satisfying experience over multiple infusions.

Rich in tea polyphenols, amino acids, and vitamins, this tea promotes digestion, supports metabolism, and offers antioxidants for overall health. Brew with 100°C boiling water, using 6–7.5 grams of tea per 150ml gaiwan. A quick rinse is recommended before steeping for 10–15 seconds, gradually increasing the infusion time for subsequent brews.
