Instructions:
- Fill the yerba mate kalebas or cup with yerba mate leaves until it is about two-thirds full.
- Tilt the kalabas or cup to one side and pour hot water over the leaves until it is about half full.
- Allow the water to soak into the leaves for a few seconds.
- Insert the bombilla into the kalebas or cup and place your hand over the top of the bombilla.
- Tilt the calabas or cup slightly and slowly pour hot water into the gourd or cup until it is full, taking care not to disturb the leaves.
- Sip the yerba mate through the bombilla and enjoy.
Note: Yerba mate can be brewed multiple times, so you can add more hot water to the gourd or cup as needed. The flavor will change with each infusion, becoming milder with each subsequent brew. Also, it is important to use hot, but not boiling water, as boiling water can make the yerba mate taste bitter.
