How do you like your matcha â whisked with water, iced, or with a generous splash of milk?
Our Guizhou Ceremonial Matcha works beautifully all three ways. Made in China using Japanese production techniques, itâs finely stone-milled for a smooth texture and a fresh, naturally sweet taste. If youâve only tried it in a latte, give it a go with water. Youâll get to taste the tea itself.
A few things you might not know about matcha:
đ You drink the ground tea leaf itself, rather than an infusion. Thatâs why matcha is whisked into water instead of steeped and strained.
đ” Powdered tea has roots in China, centuries before Japan developed the matcha tradition we know today.
đ± âCeremonialâ describes a style of matcha intended for drinking, but it isnât a universal, regulated quality grade. The teaâs freshness, flavour and texture tell you much more.
Want to make a bowl?
Sift 2 g of matcha, add 60â80 ml of water at 75â80°C, and whisk in quick W-shaped movements. For a latte, add milk after whisking.
Time to try it your way đ
