NanNuo Mountain Big Tree Black Tea

Nan Nuo Mountain Ancient Tree Black Tea is produced in the Nan Nuo Mountain region of Menghai County, Xishuangbanna Prefecture, Yunnan Province. This area, at an average altitude of 1400 meters, enjoys a tropical climate with annual rainfall between 1500 and 1750mm and average temperatures of 16–18°C, providing optimal conditions for the growth of ancient tea trees.

The tea is hand-picked annually between March 20 and May 30, selecting one bud with three leaves from Yunnan Da Ye Zhong tea trees. The traditional production process includes withering, fermentation, and sun-drying, preserving the tea’s freshness and natural qualities.

When brewed, Nan Nuo Mountain Black Tea produces a bright red infusion with a pronounced and lasting sweetness. The tea has a pure, fresh aroma and leaves a soothing, smooth sensation on the palate. Its durability across multiple infusions highlights its exceptional quality.

For brewing, use 7 grams of tea in a 110ml gaiwan with water heated to 98°C. The first seven infusions should steep for 6–10 seconds, with subsequent brews extending to 15–20 seconds. Ensure each infusion is poured out completely to maintain the tea’s flavor and quality.

This tea is rich in polyphenols and theaflavins, offering benefits such as improving mental alertness, providing antioxidant protection, and supporting metabolism. Proper storage in a cool, dry place will ensure the tea retains its aroma and taste over time.
