Bulang Big Tree Ripe Pu-erh Tea

Bulang Ancient Tree Ripe Pu-erh Tea originates from Bulang Mountain in Menghai County, Xishuangbanna Prefecture, Yunnan Province. This region is renowned for its rich tea-growing history and ancient tea gardens, with some dating back over 1400 years. Villages such as Laomane and Banzhang contribute to the area’s vibrant tea culture, deeply rooted in the traditions of the Bulang people.

Grown at an altitude of 1700 meters, this tea is harvested annually between March 20 and May 30. The tea leaves, comprising one bud with three leaves, are hand-picked from Yunnan Da Ye Zhong tea trees. Traditional processing methods are employed, including withering, pan-firing, rolling, sun-drying, fermentation (wet-piling), and final drying.

The tea brews into a bright, orange-red infusion with a rich and mellow flavor. Its aroma is pronounced, filling the space with earthy and woody notes. The taste is smooth and full-bodied, with a touch of sweetness and a refreshing, lingering aftertaste.

For brewing, use 5–8 grams of tea per person in a gaiwan or teapot. Brew with water at 95–100°C, starting with a quick rinse to awaken the leaves. The first infusion should steep for 5 seconds, with subsequent infusions increasing by 5–10 seconds to fully extract its layered flavors.

Rich in polyphenols, amino acids, and caffeine, Bulang Ancient Tree Ripe Pu-erh Tea supports digestion, improves blood circulation, and promotes gut health. Proper storage in a cool, dry place is recommended to preserve its quality over time.
