Bulang Ancient Tree Ripe Pu-erh Tea

Bulang Ancient Tree Ripe Pu-erh Tea is sourced from Bulang Mountain in Menghai County, Xishuangbanna Prefecture, Yunnan Province. Known for its ancient tea gardens, including Laomane and Banzhang villages, Bulang Mountain has a long history of tea cultivation, with roots tracing back over 1400 years.

Grown at an altitude of 1700 meters, this tea is harvested annually between March 20 and May 30. The leaves, consisting of one bud and three leaves, are hand-picked and processed using traditional methods. The production process includes withering, pan-firing, rolling, sun-drying, fermentation (wet-piling), and final drying, resulting in loose tea leaves with a rich aroma and deep flavor profile.

The brewed tea offers a clear orange-red infusion with a robust and smooth taste. Its aroma is pronounced, filling the space with earthy and woody notes. The flavor is full-bodied, featuring a pleasant sweetness and a silky texture that leaves a refreshing sensation in the mouth after drinking.

For brewing, use 5–8 grams of tea per person in a gaiwan or teapot. Water at 95–100°C is recommended. A quick rinse helps awaken the leaves, followed by steeping the first infusion for 5 seconds. Subsequent infusions can gradually increase by 5–10 seconds to extract the full range of flavors.

Rich in polyphenols, amino acids, and caffeine, Bulang Ancient Tree Ripe Pu-erh Tea supports digestion, improves blood circulation, and balances gut health by promoting beneficial bacteria. Proper storage in a cool, dry place will maintain its quality over time.
