«Tie Luohan» («The Iron Arhat») is one of the oldest Cliff oolongs known since the Song Dynasty. Legend tells that this tea was named after a dark-skin monk possessed gigantic strength, known as the Iron Arhat. He attained the enlightenment, not only through meditation, but also with the help of martial arts. He took refuge in the Cave of Demons and made tea from the tree, growing near by. Rocks in this place almost merge, and on the bottom of the canyon a stream flows and never dries up. Tea trees with long leaves are growing here for over a thousand years.

"Tie Luohan Yun Long" is made by master Yun Long (Cloudy Dragon). During manufacturing the tea leaves were exposed to deep fermentation and baked on charcoal in traditional style (medium heat).

Dry leaf: lengthwise twisted, middle size, dark-brown color. The aroma is intensive, spicy-biscuit. The liquor is transparent, dark amber color.

The brewed tea has warm, roasted, spicy-biscuit bouquet with hints of nuts and honey. The aroma is rich, viscous, spicy-floral. The taste is soft, silky, sweetish with mineral notes that define Wuyi. The traditional long-lasting finish.

Brew tea with hot boiling water (95°C) in a porcelain gaiwan or a teapot of porous clay. The proportion is 5-6 g per 100 ml. The time of the first steeping is about 6-8 seconds. After that do short steeps (just for 2-3 seconds), increasing steeping time for each subsequent step, if necessary. You can steep the tea up to 7-8 times.

True Yancha with "the strength of rocks and the scent of flowers" merged into one beautiful melody. A highly rare tea that surely won't disappoint!
