Join us for a delicious and creative afternoon that brings together two beautiful traditions — the art of mochi-making and a mindful Chinese tea ceremony.
We’ll begin the session with a traditional Pin Cha ceremony, showcasing the Chinese Gong Fu Cha method of brewing tea. Through multiple short steepings, you’ll discover how aroma, timing, and temperature shape each infusion. This ceremony invites you to slow down, taste with presence, and enjoy the evolving journey of tea.
Then, we move into the hands-on part of the workshop:
Daifuku Mochi Workshop – Summer Edition Step into the refreshing world of Japanese sweets with our special Summer Edition workshop, hosted by Misato & Izumi from the Hague-based Mochi Atelier “AN.”
This Summer edition brings a sunny twist to tradition, featuring fresh, fruity flavors and playful summer vibes to match the mood of the season. In this hands-on workshop, you’ll learn how to make Daifuku Mochi from scratch, guided by Misato & Izumi from Mochi Atelier “AN” in The Hague.
After a mochi tasting and demonstration, you’ll make four mochi to take home—blending classic favorites with light, summery flavors.
Perfect for beginners and mochi lovers alike! Whether you’re curious about mochi, passionate about tea, or just looking for a fun and flavorful way to spend your Sunday — this workshop is for you.
