Liping Sparrow Tongue Green Tea
Liping Sparrow Tongue, a traditional Chinese green tea, is celebrated for its delicate shape and refined quality. This tea, named for its resemblance to a sparrow’s tongue, is crafted from the premium Longjing 43 cultivar. While originally developed in Zhejiang Province, where the famous Longjing tea originates, Liping Sparrow Tongue is now produced in Guizhou Province using the classic Longjing processing techniques, ensuring its legacy and quality remain intact.
Grown at altitudes of 500–800 meters, Liping Sparrow Tongue is hand-picked during the spring harvest (late March to mid-April), following the standard of one bud with one or two leaves. The meticulous production process includes withering, pan-firing, shaping, and drying, preserving the tea’s vibrant green hue and elegant form.
This tea brews into a clear, bright infusion with a refreshing, sweet flavor and a lingering floral aroma. Revered for its “fresh and mellow” character, Liping Sparrow Tongue delivers a smooth and satisfying experience, making it a favorite among green tea enthusiasts.
Rich in tea polyphenols, catechins, and amino acids, Liping Sparrow Tongue supports health by promoting digestion, enhancing metabolism, and providing antioxidants. For the best flavor, brew with water at 80°C, allowing the leaves to unfurl and release their delicate essence.
