Golden White Dragon Tea (GABA Tea)
Golden White Dragon Tea, also known as GABA Tea, is a remarkable tea crafted from the Jin Xuan tea cultivar, first introduced to mainland China in 1995 from Taiwan. Its innovative production involves anaerobic fermentation, which enhances its natural content of γ-Aminobutyric Acid (GABA), a compound scientifically proven to support health by reducing blood pressure, improving sleep, and boosting vitality.
Grown at an average altitude of 1100 meters in Dazhai County, Fujian Province, this tea is hand-harvested each spring (April 28, 2024), following the plucking standard of one bud with three leaves. The leaves are transformed through a meticulous process of sun withering, indoor withering, shaking, anaerobic fermentation, fixation, rolling, and drying. The result is a tightly curled leaf with a dark, glossy appearance.
Golden White Dragon Tea brews into a ruby-red infusion with a rich, velvety taste. Its aroma features notes of ripe fruit and honey, creating a full-bodied experience with a smooth, lingering finish. Perfect for hot or cold brewing, this tea delivers a naturally sweet and refreshing flavor when steeped in cold water, while hot brewing highlights its depth and complexity.
With its high GABA content, this tea supports relaxation, enhances brain function, and promotes overall well-being. It’s not only a flavorful beverage but also a functional tea cherished for its health benefits.
