Golden Eyebrow Black Tea
Golden Eyebrow Black Tea is crafted from single buds of Meizhan and Cai Cha tea bushes, grown in sustainable agriculture certified tea gardens located in the southern foothills of the Wuyi Mountains, Fujian Province. At an altitude of 450 meters, these gardens benefit from a favorable environment that enhances the tea’s quality and flavor.
The tea is hand-picked during the spring season, selecting only tender buds. The production follows traditional black tea methods, including withering, oxidation, rolling, fermentation, drying, and refining. This process results in tightly rolled leaves with golden tips, which are a hallmark of Jin Jun Mei.
When brewed, this tea yields a bright red infusion with a sweet, mellow, and full-bodied flavor. Its smooth texture and caramel-like sweetness make it a highly sought-after choice for black tea enthusiasts. The enzymatic oxidation during production reduces polyphenols by over 90%, creating its characteristic red liquor, sweet aroma, and complex taste.
For brewing, use a white porcelain gaiwan and boiling water (100°C). Infuse the tea for 10–15 seconds for the first brew, gradually increasing the steeping time for subsequent brews. The tea is durable and can be steeped up to 10 times, with its flavor and aroma evolving over multiple infusions.
