Have you ever wondered what really happens inside your cup of tea — and what gives each one its unique feeling and flavour?
Join us for an evening where science meets tradition, guided by Natalia, a PhD in Chemistry and passionate Chinese tea drinker.
For centuries, tea has been valued for its ability to bring clarity, presence, and inspiration. In this workshop, Natalia will open up the world behind those experiences — explaining how different natural tea compounds interact to create the taste, aroma, and character we recognize in every steep.
Together, we’ll explore key components like Caffeine, Catechins, Theaflavins, and L-Theanine — and learn how they contribute to the texture, balance, and sensory depth of tea.
We’ll taste and compare:
🫖 White & Green Tea — light oxidation, soft flavour, and refreshing balance
🫖 Oolong, Red & Pu-erh Tea — deeper fermentation, full-bodied warmth, and layered aroma
Through tasting, conversation, and gentle guidance, you’ll start to see how chemistry and culture intertwine — and how every leaf tells its own story.
This is a scientific yet sensory evening — perfect for those curious about why tea tastes and feels the way it does, and what makes each variety so unique.
About the Host:
Natalia holds a PhD in Chemistry and has spent years exploring Chinese teas. Her curiosity led her to connect her scientific background with the art of tea — bridging knowledge, experience, and mindful observation in every cup.
