Matcha tiramisu
Matcha tiramisu is a delicious dessert that combines the traditional Italian tiramisu with the taste of matcha tea. Here's a recipe to get you started:
Ingredients:- 3 eggs
- 500 g mascarpone cheese
- 1/2 cup of powdered sugar
- 2 tablespoons of matcha powder
- 1/2 cup warm water 70C
- 24 long fingers
- Matcha Powder to garnish
Instructions:
- Separate the egg yolks and egg whites and beat the egg whites until stiff.
- In a separate bowl, beat the egg yolks with the icing sugar until light and fluffy.
- Add the mascarpone cheese and matcha powder to the egg yolk mixture and mix until well combined.
- Add the stiffly beaten egg whites to the mascarpone mixture and gently fold in until well combined.
- Pour the cooled water into a shallow dish, whisk with matcha with a whisk and dip the ladyfingers briefly so that they are drenched, but not soaked.
- Place a layer of the soaked sponge fingers in a baking dish.
- Divide half of the mascarpone mixture over the ladyfingers and smooth it out.
- Then place another layer of ladyfingers on top of the mascarpone mixture.
- Add the remaining mascarpone mixture and smooth it out.
- Cover the bowl with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 2 hours to set.
- Sprinkle with matcha powder before serving.
