Zhangping Shuixian oolong tea, 36g

€15,50
This is one of the most unusual varieties of Shuixian oolong tea, known especially for its unique square compressed brick shape, wrapped in paper. The Shuixian tea bush was brought to Zhangping from its place of origin, Jianou, near the Wuyi Mountains. While this tea became more known in the early 20th century, the area of production has slowly grown, with hundreds of small and large tea farms now producing it. However, Zhangping Shuixian is still not widely recognized in China and is rarely known abroad. Originally, like many other oolong teas, this type of Shuixian was quite strongly charcoal-baked. However, modern Zhangping tea fermentation and roasting are lighter compared to most other Shuixian variations from Wuyishan, Fenghuang, or Jianou. Refreshing and sweet, this tea will be much appreciated by light oolong lovers.
