Dongding GABA Sheng: A Unique Fusion of Sheng and GABA Processing

Dongding GABA Sheng combines traditional Sheng tea production with GABA processing and an additional roasting step, creating a tea with a distinctive flavor profile. The higher-temperature roasting doesn’t impart a roasted taste but subtly influences the aroma, making this tea uniquely complex and versatile.

What is Goishicha?

Goishicha is a traditional fermented Japanese tea, originating from Kochi Prefecture. Known for its pronounced sourness and earthy flavors, it is made through a unique double-fermentation process that gives it its signature tangy and acidic taste. Often consumed as a digestive aid or paired with meals, Goishicha’s bold and distinct character is reflected in the sour notes of Dongding GABA Sheng, making it similarly ideal for tea pairings.
