Rice Grain Master Cup - Blue Phoenix # 95990

A rice-grain zhurenbei, or host’s cup, presents a gently tapering wall, a neat foot, and a fine blue rim. Its pale, pierced phoenix decoration adds visual depth, while the open shape offers a clear view of the tea’s colour.

Rice-grain porcelain, known as linglong, is a historic Chinese decorative technique associated especially with Jingdezhen. Small openings in the porcelain are incorporated into the design, and individual cups of this kind are used at the table during gongfu tea.

Made in China in the Jingdezhen porcelain tradition, this cup combines a white body with blue edging and a softly translucent phoenix motif. Rinse it soon after use and dry the porcelain carefully before storage.
