The teapot presents a bell-shaped body with a broad, low profile, a rounded handle, and a raised lid. Its dark clay walls and projecting spout suit focused gongfu brewing and controlled pouring.

The Dadezhong, “great virtue bell,” is a recognised Yixing teapot form named for its bell-like silhouette. Yixing pots became prominent during the Ming period and are used at the table for short infusions shared among guests.

Yixing zisha is known for unglazed purple clay, here appearing deep brown-black with carved window-lattice and floral bands. Rinse away tea leaves after use and let the pot air dry fully.
