Chaban (Tea Tray) Waves and Birds, Reservoir Type # 97075

This reservoir chaban uses a removable slatted top over a deep wooden basin, so rinse water and spills are contained below the brewing area. The carved waves and birds give the practical tray a quiet landscape character without reducing its usable surface.

Chaban, 茶盘, means tea tray in Chinese and is used in gongfu tea to hold vessels during brewing and rinsing. Reservoir-style trays collect surplus water beneath the working surface, keeping the surrounding table clearer during a tea session.

Made in China from warm red-brown wood, the tray shows visible grain, dark drainage gaps, and a separate upper section. Lift out and empty the reservoir after use, then wipe both wooden parts dry.
