This ten-piece tea set combines a lidded gaiwan, matching cups, a fairness pitcher and serving pieces in a coordinated design. The rounded gaiwan sits on a broad saucer, giving the vessel a stable base while the wide rim supports smooth pouring and tasting.

The gaiwan, or covered bowl, became established in China during the Ming period and remains a foundational gongfu vessel. Tea is brewed in the bowl, guided by the lid and poured into cups or a fairness pitcher at the table.

Made in China, the set carries a pale green Ru-style glaze inspired by the Northern Song Ru kilns. Peony and lotus-vine decoration covers the rounded surfaces. Rinse the ceramic after use and dry it before storage.
