Charcoal-Baked Jinxuan is a carefully baked oolong made from the Jin Xuan cultivar, originally bred in Taiwan’s Nantou region and brought to mainland China for further refinement. This variety is renowned for its natural milky fragrance and soft floral-fruity notes.

In this version, tea leaves were hand-picked at one bud with three leaves from high-altitude gardens around 800 meters in Fujian Province. The traditional processing followed multiple steps: initial oxidation (sun-withering, shaking, fixing), rolling, primary drying, secondary rolling, shaping, and slow charcoal baking in three precise stages — initial bake, re-bake, and “rested” final bake.

Using lychee wood charcoal and low, stable heat, the Jin Xuan leaves were transformed from it's usual light, creamy expression into a deeper, mellower profile. The result is a semi-ball-rolled tea with tightly twisted, dark glossy leaves and a complex aroma combining charcoal, honey, and soft dairy-like tones. The liquor is golden, round, and smooth, with lingering sweetness and a calming depth.
