Charcoal baked aged Qilan Oolong from Zhangzhou, 2004, 50g

Yet another of Moychay's exclusive treasures, this oolong Qilan (wonderful orchid) tea from Pinghe County, China, has been properly aged by a tea collector in Pinghe. Made using traditional local techniques, this Qilan oolong is full of floral aroma, with a beautiful and elegant "chen wei" (aged oolong taste). In comparison with the other Qilan oolongs in our collection, this tea has also been charcoal-baked in bamboo baskets. This technique, which is almost disappearing in the region, not only brings a special flavor to the tea but also adds additional value. An essential experience for special moments.
