Chaban (Tea Tray) Rounded, Light Ash Wood # 97067

This rounded chaban offers a warm wooden setting for a gaiwan, teapot and cups. Its slatted centre allows rinse water to drain beneath the working surface, while the raised rounded border helps contain splashes during a tea session.

The chaban is associated with gongfu tea, in which teaware is warmed and rinsed while several infusions are prepared. A tea tray collects this water and supports the compact, attentive arrangement used at the table.

Made from light ash wood, the tray displays pronounced linear grain and a honey-brown finish across its broad rim. Wipe away water after use, avoid prolonged soaking and allow the wood to dry fully before storing.
