Finely shaved sandalwood from old wild trees. Traditionally valued in Ayurvedic and Asian herbal practices for its grounding and calming qualities.

In Ayurveda, traditional Chinese, Tibetan, Australian aboriginal medicinal traditions sandalwood has been used to treat digestive problems, infections, the common cold, skin, other tissue- and cardiovascular problems, nervous disorders, to regulate sleep cycles, promote sleep and eradicate insomnia and valued for antibacterial, antimicrobial and antifungal properties.
Sprinkle a pinch of scrapings in a cup or pot, infuse with warm or barely-hot water (40-80°C). Cold-brewing is also possible. Boiling sandalwood on low heat is also an advisable preparation method.
