Water is the invisible ingredient in every cup of tea — and yet, it changes everything.

In this hands-on tasting, we’ll explore how different types of water affect the flavor, mouthfeel, and aroma of loose-leaf tea. Using the Gong Fu Cha brewing style, you’ll taste the same tea brewed with several types of water (e.g. filtered, spring, mineral, and tap), and discover how subtle mineral differences can completely shift your tea experience.

 

You’ll learn:

 

– Why water quality matters more in specialty tea

– How different mineral content (TDS) impacts taste

– Which waters work best for oolongs, pu-erhs, green teas, and more

– How to experiment at home to improve your brews
