✨ Make Your Own Matcha Bowl
A hands-on ritual of clay, tea, and quiet creation.
We begin with a tea ceremony — grounding into the rhythm of hot water, the breath of steam, and the feel of the moment. Then, guided by a ceramic artist, you’ll shape your own matcha bowl using traditional hand-building techniques and stoneware clay.
Matcha bowls (chawan) are more than vessels — they are personal objects that hold warmth, stillness, and daily rituals. Whether for yourself or as a gift, this bowl will become a companion for slow mornings or calming breaks — uniquely made by your own hands.
The process is tactile and meditative: forming the base, smoothing edges, carving details, and making space for your style. After the workshop, your piece will be glazed and kiln-fired to give it the smooth, durable finish typical of matcha ceramics.
During the session, we’ll serve fine teas from Moychay to sip while you work — a steady rhythm of tea and clay, forming something meaningful, simple, and entirely yours.
