An immersive tasting led by Carambole’s chocolatier and Moychay’s tea master

Join us for a unique tasting led by Rita, the artist and maker behind the award-winning Carambole bonbons atelier. Her creations have received multiple international recognitions, including Gold, Silver, and Bronze Awards from the Academy of Chocolate in 2023, and Gold and Silver Awards in 2021—a testament to her bold, intricate, and masterfully crafted bonbons.

Alongside her is Anna Leona, tea master and Online Marketeer at Moychay.nl, with a deep-rooted passion for Eastern tea culture, meditation, and mindfulness. Anna brings a calm, thoughtful presence and years of experience in brewing and sharing tea as a mindful practice. She will guide you through the teas with insight and care.

We invite you on a guided flavor journey—learn how to pair loose-leaf teas with craft chocolate and beautifully designed chocolate bonbons, each chosen to highlight and elevate the other. We will explore the theory behind taste and olfactory perception, and how to combine the flavours of different products.

What makes it special

The Tea
We will present a selection of teas sourced through years of travel in tea-growing regions. Brewed using the Gong Fu Cha method—with short, aromatic infusions—these teas are chosen specifically to pair with the flavors of each bonbon. Expect complexity, warmth, and unexpected combinations.

The Chocolate
Rita will curate a collection of rare craft chocolate bars from around the world and Carambole bonbons, carefully chosen to pair with each tea. Carambole bonbons are bold, experimental, and full of personality. Crafted from leading bean-to-bar chocolate, each piece is made in tiny batches with unique ingredients and very little sugar. Think punchy flavors, vivid colors, and bursts of taste in every combo.

This event is especially suited for sommeliers, flavor explorers, and anyone looking to fine-tune their taste buds and deepen their understanding of tea and chocolate.
